# Questions before you make a plan?

Canonical: https://oscarok.com/faq

Answers to common questions about OscarOK check-ins, trusted contacts, delayed releases, document access, subscriptions and account closure.

Understand the safeguards, the limits and what your trusted contacts will be asked to do.

## What happens if I miss one check-in?

Your vault is not released immediately. There is a 30-day grace period with reminders, followed by a minimum 14-day warning period and a requirement for two accepted trusted-contact confirmations.

## Can two contacts release my information early?

No. Both confirmations and the full waiting periods are required. Confirming during the warning period does not shorten it.

## What if a warning email fails?

The warning countdown is held until required warning emails are accepted by the provider. Failed sends are retried and exposed to the operator for investigation. Acceptance does not prove inbox delivery or that an email was read.

## Can I stop a pending release?

Yes, while release is still pending you can check in or pause monitoring. A trusted contact who has reached you can also pause escalation. Information already downloaded cannot be recalled.

## How long can contacts access released information?

Each item or message has a 30-day window from its own release. A delayed item receives its own window. The same access checks apply to attached files.

## Does OscarOK verify that someone has died?

No. OscarOK uses missed check-ins and trusted-contact confirmations. It is not a death-verification, emergency response or legal-authority service.

## Is there a free plan?

Yes. Free includes three vault items, two trusted contacts and monthly check-ins. Plus is £4.99 per month; Pro is £6.99 per month. Review the plan comparison before choosing paid features.

## What happens when I downgrade or close my account?

Downgrading keeps stored content while restricting new paid operations. Closing an account stops monitoring and revokes access; billing and file cleanup continue in the background if an external service is temporarily unavailable.
