The OscarOK guides · Life, thoughtfully prepared

Some things deserve to be said in your own words.

A letter does not have to sum up a life. It can hold one memory, one thank-you or one thing you want someone to know. You can begin with a few sentences and come back when you are ready.

At a glance

A legacy letter is a personal message prepared for someone you care about. OscarOK Pro supports text, audio and video messages for selected trusted contacts, released through the same check-in, waiting-period and confirmation process as the vault.

Start with a memory you can picture

Describe a moment rather than trying to write something perfect. Where were you? What made you smile? Why has it stayed with you? A small, specific memory often sounds more like you than a formal farewell. There is no need to wait for a special occasion to start writing.

Write to one person at a time

A letter to an adult child might share encouragement. A message to a sibling might preserve a family story. A note to a partner might say thank you for the ordinary things you noticed. Choose the recipient deliberately and keep practical administration in separate vault items so a personal message can remain personal.

Consider a recording

If writing feels awkward, record a short voice or video message in OscarOK Pro. Use a quiet setting, speak naturally and review the result. The point is your voice and the meaning of the message, not a polished performance. You can edit or replace a message while managing your account.

Be clear about delivery

OscarOK releases information only after a missed check-in, a full 30-day grace period, at least 14 days of warning after required emails are accepted by the provider, and confirmations from two distinct accepted contacts. It does not verify death. Messages are not scheduled for birthdays or anniversaries and are not sent immediately on notification of a death. Each released item or message has its own 30-day access window, including its attachments. Recipients need to save anything they want to keep during that window.

Your starting checklist

  1. Choose the person you are speaking to.
  2. Write down one memory and why it matters.
  3. Add something you appreciate about them.
  4. Read it back with their feelings in mind.
  5. Select the correct recipient and review the saved message.
A practical starting point

A gentle letter template

“Dear [name], I wanted you to have this memory of us: [moment]. What I loved about it was [detail]. One thing I have always appreciated about you is [quality]. Thank you for [something specific]. With love, [your name].”

Common questions

Can I leave different letters for my children and siblings?

Yes. Create separate Pro messages and select the relevant trusted contacts for each one. Unrestricted messages are available to all accepted contacts after release.

Can I change a message later?

You can revise messages while managing your account. Check the saved content and recipients after editing. Information someone has already downloaded cannot be recalled.

A small start. Something meaningful.
